About Shane

I’m Shane Walker, the founder and writer behind Kravix.

I’m not a personal trainer, registered strength coach, professional bodybuilder, dietitian or medical professional. I’m a normal bloke who became obsessed with training and has spent more than ten years learning through hands-on experience, experimentation, reading and studying the methods of people with far more knowledge than I had when I started.

My Training Experience

Over the years, I’ve trained through bodybuilding-style routines, 5×5 strength programmes, Olympic lifting, push-pull-legs and my own combinations of strength and hypertrophy work.

I started at a genuine beginner level, benching roughly 40 kg and looking at somebody pressing 22 kg dumbbells as if it were an enormous achievement. Since then, I’ve built my bench press to 170 kg, with approximate personal bests of 230 kg on the squat and 250 kg on the deadlift.

Those numbers show what I’ve done, but they don’t make my methods perfect and they don’t mean that what works for me will work for everybody.

Why I Write Kravix

Kravix exists so I can share what I’ve tried, what worked, what failed and what I learned along the way. That includes training methods, nutrition, supplements, gym culture and the ways training can affect life outside the gym.

My personal articles are exactly that: personal experience. Where an article discusses research, nutrition or supplements, I aim to check the evidence and clearly separate established information from my own opinion.

An Honest Perspective

I can’t tell you that there is one perfect way to train, because everybody has a different body, history, goal and life outside the gym. What I can do is explain how I started, how I progressed, the mistakes I made and what I would do differently now.

Kravix should help you ask better questions and make more informed decisions. It should not replace personalised advice from a qualified coach, dietitian or healthcare professional when individual guidance is needed.

Sometimes It Helps to Talk

If you’re new to the gym, trying to get back into training, or just struggling to find your feet, sometimes speaking to someone who’s been there can help.

You can message me through Kravix on WhatsApp for a chat or a bit of guidance around training, getting started, confidence or finding your feet.

This isn’t professional medical, mental-health or coaching advice — just a real conversation with someone who understands that getting started isn’t always easy.
